The spiritual discipline of this day involves trust. Suspended between Good Friday and Easter Sunday, much of life is like this day. We live with tragedy and loss, but not as people without hope.

God is at work in the world. Resurrection is on the way. Waiting hopefully, means trusting that God is with us, though everything else may suggest otherwise.

One Response to “Holy Saturday”

  1. Pat Schroer says:

I think that this day is intended for reflecting on what was done for us, so many years ago. Our minister on Thursday night talked about the triad of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday and how it makes the entire process complete. I had never thought of it that way but I can certainly see what he was saying. I missed going to church Friday, as I had to work, but reflected on that enormous sacrifice during my day. Now, I can rest in peace, knowing that the Resurrection is for me and for all. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!!
