I totally agree with your statement toward the end.  We need to listen.  If I may I would add Listen to Jesus.  Listen to the Holy Spirit.  Listen to God&#039;s Word.  Listen to our Heavenly Father.  Just get quiet b/f the Lord and let Him do the the talking.

Most people might think that is a crazy idea.  God talks to people?

I think it is too strange to think otherwise.  We are loving God with all our hearts.  We are trying to love our neighbor as ourself.   And with all the total commitment to think that God would not talk to us - His children!  What kind of Father would that be?

Listen - yes!  But the world is usually not listening for the Holy Spirit.  In fact, they do not know - nor comprehend - nor understand.  So how can they listen?  

But there is hope!  If a donkey can hear and see God and talk - yes, I think there is hope for Christians.
